Can I use insurance?
Yes! ADJ Counseling is happy to announce that we are now accepting insurance through Headway. We are in-network with Aetna, BCBS PPO, United HealthCare, and Optum.
How do I book an intake session?
You can book your initial session in one of three ways:
1. Call 773-217-0808.
2. Email info@adjcounseling.com.
3. If you’re ready to get scheduled today, use our online scheduling tool on the “book online” page (please note that this method will require payment at the time of booking).
What are your fees?
ADJ Counseling and Wellness offers three services:
Initial intake sessions-$180
Individual sessions-$150
Clinical Supervision (LCSW/LCPC)-$125
How do I know if therapy is for me?
That is a great question! Since something brought you here, I would guess that you are ready for a change. Therapy offers a judgement-free space to help you find ways to make that change. Making an appointment for a 15-minute consultation can help answer any questions you might have about how therapy can help you!
How long will I be in therapy?
This is a trickier question to answer. Individual sessions will be between 45-60 minutes long. Unless your insurance says otherwise, therapy doesn't have a definite end date. Some people are able to gain skills or work through their concerns in 5 sessions, while others may be in therapy beyond a year. Each individual has different needs and concerns to address, and both of these impact how long therapy lasts.
What can I expect during the consultation?
The consultation is a chance for both you and I to see if we are a good fit. I will ask you several questions about your current concerns, desired outcomes/changes, and cover payment information. This is also a chance for you to ask me questions (yes, you get to interview your therapist)! At the end of the call we will decide if we’d like to move forward to schedule an intake session, which is a more in-depth information gathering session.
Is there a cancellation policy?
Yes there is. Sessions cancelled less than 24-hours before the session will incur a $75 cancellation fee.
